In the night mixed media canvas

Hello friends…
A few weeks ago, I signed up for Christy’s pumpkin and cider workshop and I wanted to share with you one my artworks I made during the class. It was inspired by a certificate my daughter received from school that has owls on it.

It was my friend Sharon’s birthday recently and She loves Owls, so I couldn't resist giving it to her for a present!

I’m Blank Because…

IMG_0693

I’m weird because…
I get all red and blotchy when I'm nervous or worried about something…
I would rather watch an entire season of a TV show in 3 nights, than watch it weekly.
I often start craft/sewing projects and then take months to pick it back up again to finish it.
I crave time for myself! but when I get it, I don’t know what to do with myself and can’t wait for my girls to come home.
I can’t sit and do nothing, my hands are never idle!
I have a hard time accepting and asking for help.
I can NOT sleep with socks on.

I’m a bad friend because…
I am often terrible at returning phone calls, texts and emails.
I’d rather be at home with my peeps, than go to social gatherings.

IMG_0637

I’m a good friend because…
I’m loyal and I am always there for them, no matter what..
I'm a good listener and shoulder to cry on.
I love my friends kids like they are my own.

I’m sad because…
My girl are growing up way to fast.
My darling man, has to work too much!
My Mum & Sister, live three and a half hours away.
I worry, way to much…
I've had writers block, but thanks to Ashley’s blog post, I’m hoping its gone.

I’m happy because…
I have an Amazing husband!
And I'm a mum to three beautiful girls
I have a loving and supportive family xx
I got my distress markers this week. Yay!

I’m excited for…
The weekend, cause get to hang out with my girls. I love Crafting, playing at the park and baking together!
Your living canvas workshop starting next week. So excited!
Movie night and snuggling on the couch with my sweetheart.

Have a wonderful weekend!

yesterday and I had to share with everyone.

I've been sewing!

Hello there, It's been a bit overcast here today.
I really don't think the weather knows what it's doing lately. One minute
It's sunny, the next it's raining, then it's sunny again.
I wish it would make up its melon already!!!

I finished this darling little dress earlier today and decided to go outside to take some photos(the light wasn't great inside). But the weather had other plans, i got rained on while snapping these pics :( oh well!

What do you think? I really hope my sweet-pea likes it (it's a secret).
I made it using this NEW LOOK pattern.

Cute huh! will definitely have to make the headband too!!!

Here's a closer look, I love the crossover bodice.
And isn't the fabric sweet, I purchased it locally at a little fabric shop near my house.

The dress was fairly easy to construct and wasn't all-that time consuming to make.
Even though it is a simple style,

I would recommend it to a sewer with some experience, as it has a zipper opening in the back (They can be a bit tricky to master). Also the bodice is a crossover style, which is lined this could be a bit confusing to the beginner.

Did you see my nails? aren't they pretty...
My Sweet friend, Sharon gave me a gift voucher to get them done.
Isn't she the best!

Oh! And before I go thought I'd introduce you to trusty sewing machine - She's a Janome!
My beautiful Mum gave her to me for my 21st birthday - Thanks Mum!!! definitely one of my most used Favourite  presents.

Anyways I better go, time to cook dinner! And do Bath-time etc...

Happy Sewing!
