My little Artist!

Words cannot describe how proud I am of my super
 creative little Miss!

Sparkle's brought home these awesome amazing pieces of art from school
yesterday and I had to share with everyone.

Six!!!

A few weeks ago we celebrated my sweetie's 6th birthday!
yes i know, I can't believe she's six either.

I thought you guys would like to see some photos from her special day.  Enjoy!

Opening a couple of pressies in the morning before school and proudly showing off, her Ariel dress I made for her.

Some cute cupcakes to share with classmates, it seems to
 have become a tradition. YUM!

Dressing up the minute she arrived home, so I couldn't resist a mini photo shoot.

Miss C was so very patient waiting for Daddy to get
home from work, so she could open some more presents

and blow out the candles on her cake.

and cutting the cake, she loved doing that!

 Happy Birthday my gorgeous girl.
We love you!

 Have a great weekend!

Pretties from my garden

I spent some time in the garden this weekend trimming hedges and pulling out weeds,
preparing for the summer months ahead

The garden is coming to life (Spring has truly sprung),  the lavender bush is covered smothered in flowers,
even some agapanthus are starting to bloom.

My Cockatiels are happy it's spring too!

The girls enjoyed getting outdoors, planting flower seeds in egg cartons

they planted, Snapdragon and Petunias.

I can't wait to see all the pretty colours, when their flowers start to bloom

I hope everyone had a beautiful Sunday...

Creative share

 Hello Friends...

Just popping in, to share a card I made last night for Miss Em's Teacher.
It's a rather sad day for Em because it's Mrs P's last day, she is taking long service leave to travel around Australia and
spend some well deserved time with her family.

Grace Taylor papers, old dictionary, Spellbinders spiral blossom, leaf & edgeabilities dies,
Tim Holtz ticket odds & ends stamp, organza ribbon & kindy glitz

My darling girl also wanted to give her a bunch of flowers.
she's such a lovely lady and will be greatly missed, all the kids love her.
I hope there won't be to many tears this afternoon.

Update:
While my little Princess had a nap!
I made this mini album, an extra little present for Mrs P. (she loved it)

I forgot to take a photo at home, some I snap this one in my hand at school

I also snapped this photo of Miss Em & Mrs P, when i went
to pick the girls up from school this afternoon

Happy crafting

Park play

We woke up this morning to the most beautiful spring day!
clear blue sky not a cloud in sight and with
the temperature around 30 degrees, it felt almost like summer.

Perfect weather for playing at the park, luckily with live close a really great one.

And boy, is
This place is Huge!

So many activities for the kids to enjoy;
lots of wide open space to run,
Ducks to feed, various forts,
a large climbing net, a flying fox and so much more.
It's a very popular park for family gatherings
and parties

there's even a path that goes around the
entire perimeter of the park,
Perfect for a walk and riding scooters!
the girls had so much fun.

We came across this bridge and
As I approached it
Miss Em said " Shh ,watch out for the troll Mummy" (lol, so cute)

My beautiful Sparkles, having a rest on one of the
many benches along the way

We spotted three Galah's foraging on the ground.

After our walk the girls played on one of the climbing forts,
this one has been built into the side of a hill.

Sean grabbed the camera off me to snap this pic of me,
telling me i needed my photo taken because I was always the one behind camera.

All the playing and riding scooters
was such thirsty work, it was time to cool of with a cool drink
  before heading home.
Have a beautiful day

Dinosaur muesum

My beautiful paleontologist.
Sparkles and her class mates over the last few weeks have been learning about dinosaurs, creating various prehistoric artworks and designing exhibits for a dinosaur museum.
Today they invited
parents to a special viewing of their creations.

Entry poster outside the class room.
The children created posters and hung them around the school, so students from other year levels could visit too.

Each child had their own very important job to do.

The museum had an information desk.

a giant model of a Muttaburrasaurus, that they made out of boxes with egg carton teeth.
Papier Mache dinosaur eggs
Fossils the kids made using plaster and objects they found in the playground.
some dinosaur skeletons

they even made some pterodactyls (cool huh!)
and a gem shop with precious gems and jewellery.
Here's my darling girl tallying my bill, after I chose a one of a kind necklace at the gem shop.

The museum was fantastic, their creativity makes
me smile, I'm so proud of them.

Have a beautiful day.
