A Pretty dolly

For Christmas
I made dollies for all the little girls
in my family (6 in total).

The one pictured belongs to my two year old niece.
Isn't she beautiful,
I love her pink polka dot stockings.
To make the dollies extra special, I Embroidered
a little heart with my nieces initial and
my name on her bottom.
I would love to get a photo of all the girls with there dollies together.

The dolly was made using this tutorial.
I also found inspiration from these dollies.

Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday to me!!!

It's my Birthday Today!!!!
One year older & a little wiser (hopefully)?

I thought, I would share with you,
the special and relaxing weekend,
my amazing romantic Hubby treated me too..
My Birthday celebrations started on Saturday.
Hubby secretly arranged  for the girls to have a sleepover.
After leaving the girls with my Auntie.
We headed to Ipswich, so that I could indulge
in some crafty goodness

Here's some photo's from the market
It's amazing and so inspiring to meet so many talented people.

After the market we ended up here

For a picnic...
We had prawns, salad, chicken (all prepared by my Hubby)
and a lovely bottle of wolfblass wine.

Later that evening my hubby whisped me away to a
Gold-class(dinner included) viewing of

the new Harry Potter movie.
Then to top it off, Hubby gave me to a candle lit massage,
followed by a bubbly spa bath,
a perfect end to such a wonderful day...
How he keep it secret, amazed me.
Then today, I woke up to Hubby giving me
a card and a copy of
this
I spent the day painting and playing dolls with my girls.
I also got a lot of sewing done "YAY"
When Hubby came home from work, he treated me to
Chinese for dinner. "Yum"

Happy Tuesday everyone, make it a good one.

Christmas bauble tutorial

Look at what I made for my girls last night, Cute huh!
Do you want to make some too?
Here's the ingredients you need.
Paper mache balls, Scrapbook paper scraps, circle punch(medium),
Mod podge, foam brush
I also used  a spray bottle of water (this helped alot), my heat gun
and sparkle mod podge (not pictured sorry)
Punch lots and lots of circles...
I sprayed my circles with water first, so they would
conform to the ball easier.
Start at the string and glue the circles on randomly, overlapping them slightly and painting mod podge over the paper circle as you go, until the ball completely covered.
I used my heat gun to speed up the drying process, just be careful not to
hold it in the same spot for to long. After leaving to dry for a while i did a final coat with sparkle mod podge to add a
little bit of girl glitter (not easy to see in the photos)
And here's the end result. You could also ribbon or embellish with
your child's name (that's what I'm going to do) the possibilities are endless.

This is my first tutorial, I hope you enjoyed it.
Please let me know what you think, I would love some feedback.

Rocket to dreamland

I made this rocket pillow,
for my nephew for Christmas.
It has a pocket on the one side, perfect for a special toy.
To personalise it I appliqued his initial "J"
The pattern is from this book
it's fantastic... I will definitely be making a lot more of the projects.
