Bag ID Tags!!!

I made ID tags for my girls school bags today,
so she felt included, I made one for Little Princess too,
Here's my little Princesses bag.

I had planned to have them done and
ready for when school went back,
but ran out of time (Covering the girls books took forever). better late then never
The Girls love them..

Do you want to make some too? Here's how I made them

Supplies needed:
Paper cutter, glue, various inks, alphabet stamps,
basil cardstock, cuttlebug and dies, kindy glitz and tags.

This is how the tags looked originally, I purchased
them from lifeline (thrift shop) for 50c each

I measured the original card and

cut white basil to the same size of the original card.

I inked the edges.

Please excuse my over used b plate
Cut three different sized flowers and a leaf using my cuttlebug.

Then inked the edges of the flowers and leaves, glued the flowers together and finished them off with some kindy glitz in the centre.

Here's a close up of the flower.

Stamped their names on the front and contact details
on the back of the card. I then glued the flower on.

and resembled the tags.
I'm really happy with how they turned out.

Simple, pretty and girly!

Please note I have removed my girls names for privacy and added their nicknames with my photo editer.

On- line workshops

Hello Friends!
I'm stopped by to tell you about the on-line workshops
I've signed up for;

I originally heard of the course at Not Home Alone,  but it was Paper issues featuring Leah's art work that lead me to her blog, which is fantastic and so inspiring by the way.

I then needed to visit Christy Tomlinson blog ( I her artwork. It's amazing!) to find out more information. I read a lot of happy comments from people who participated in first launch of the class.

I was pleased to find out, the course would be relaunched and couldn't resist joining in on the fun...
I also wanted to share, artwork that I found on Sarah Youde 's blog Here, here and here

Details
is a 3 week e-course but because this is the second launch, you will have instant access to ALL of the materials, videos, PDF's and class content to all three weeks immediately!   In this workshop, you will learn how to create unique and detailed  she Art girls, as seen in my art and mixed projects! I will also teach you how to create backgrounds, textures, and layering styles on canvases and other surfaces using art mediums like modeling paste, paints, inks, indian inks and more!  You will walk away from this class feeling confident in creating your own personalized" She Art" pieces as well as having learned  new art techniques you can use in other mixed media projects!  The She Art Workshop re-launchesApril 11th,
Registration is now open!

AND

The new
an on-line Art Journaling Workshop

As soon as I read the description, was in. I subscribed right there and then.
 Details
In this art journaling workshop, She Had Three Hearts, I will help you explore the different "hearts" you have to offer and what may be holding you back from sharing those parts of yourself with others.  We will use journaling prompts as well as art techniques to complete pages and canvases that will dig deep into your creative soul and help you understand why we sometimes shelter those hearts that the world needs from us...as well as why it's okay to keep some of those hearts only for ourselves. You will also learn fun new art techniques using watercolor pencils, alchohal inks, stains, wax mediums and more! plus I show you how to create unique texture using masking tape, sewing, and embroidery! I also show you some creative "out of the box" journal ideas using found objects, canvas sheets, chipboard, fabric.. and more.

I can't wait for the classes to start, I'm so excited and looking forward to gathering my supplies.

Please note the pictures and course descriptions are copied from Christy Tomlinson's blog.

A Love Like No Other

When I think of love my maternal Grandparents come to mind. They had such an amazing love for each other, a love like No other.  A love you only dream about.

Love is energy: it can neither be created nor destroyed. It just is and always will be,
giving meaning to life and direction to goodness... Love will never die.
Bryce Courtney

Lily and Herb met at Byron Bay, in New South Wales.
A union made of fate, as their families were tied by the marriage of Herbs brother Percy to Lily's sister Edna (two brothers married two sisters).

They were married on the 24th march of 1956
at the Presbyterian church in Oliver Street Grafton,
New South Wales.

Today would have been their 55th wedding
anniversary!
On their Wedding day, with their attendants Edna(Lily's sister) and Percy(Herb's brother)

Together they had two beautiful daughters,  Robyn born 1956 and Glenda born 1959.

Lily And Herb with their children, Robyn (My mum)  and Glenda

Their daughters presented them with seven grandchildren. They now have seven great grandchildren too.

My Grandma's 80th birthday

I never felt a love
Like this before
It's a love like no other
Something I have always hoped for

A love with friendship
Humour and heart
A bond so strong
It would never part

A love that makes you smile
From ear to ear
A love that is joyful
Without any fear

A love that is beautiful
From the inside out
A love with no tears,
Pain, or doubt

A love with soul
So tender and true
A love that I have found
Only in you...

Their love stood the the test of time.

My grandparents are my heroes. I am so proud to be their granddaughter, I miss them dearly and cherish every moment that I spent with them. They are never far from my thoughts and hope that I can be, (even if its only half) as amazing a person as they were.

With love

Say no to bullying!!!

Today is The National Say No to Bullying day.
It's an opportunity for schools, students, parents and the wider community to join together to make a public statement against bullying behaviour.
The focus this year is bystander behaviour: encouraging students to ‘take a stand together’ against bullying.
On the day students and staff are encouraged to wear orange,
the official colour of the event.

My girls didn't have anything orange in their wardrobe to wear,
so last night while they were sleeping I made these:-
I created them using this Tutorial

Except, I hot glued a alligator clip to the back instead
of attaching them to a headband.

Here they are in action, just before school this morning,
don't the girls look gorgeous ♥

Have a beautiful day my friends.

Happy St Patricks Day

May green be the grass you walk on,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.
May your home be bright with cheer,
May your cares all disappear,
May contentment come your way,
And may laughter fill your day.
 ***

In honour of St Patrick's day, I made this
leprechaun using my paper doll dress up cartridge (I love It).
He measures about 7 1/2 inches
To give him a bit of sparkle, I used some kindy glitz
on his vest and buckles. Isn't he Cute!!!

He's hanging proudly on my inspiration board.

For each petal on the shamrock This brings a wish your way
– Good health, good luck, and happiness for today and every day.

Baby Sparkles and Miss Em!

 Hello friends,
It's Shutter Love Tuesday over at The Trendy Treehouse
and this weeks theme is SWING.

I love photography, especially when it comes to taking photos of my girls.
I couldn't resist joining in on the fun.

Here's a photo, I took of Miss C (Sparkles) when she was just 9 months old(she's now 5).
It would have to be one of my all time favourite pic of her as a baby.

And here is Miss Em, such a gorgeous little girl, she was only 4 years old (she's now 8) in this photo.

I had tears in my eyes, while trying to edit these photos.
Reminiscing about what they were like and how little they were.
They have grown so much. I miss how simple life was, before all the chaos of school.

Please head over for a visit and vote for me.
